Damien started the Kano Samurai judo club in March 2022. His goal was to teach traditional Judo in a safe and friendly environment that is open to everyone.​In just a short spell he has achieved packed classes and large medal counts at competitions.

 

This is down too his unique and fun way of teaching the true values and spirit of Judo. ​Kano Samurai judo club is twinned with BJJ Carrigaline which is owned and run by Roy Noonan.​

 

This club combination allows both members to cross train and massively improve standing and groundwork skills.​​​​​​​

Roy Noonan joined Kano Samurai Judo club because he wanted to improve his already impressive skill set and add to what he has learned from Jujitsu.​

 

He is very popular with both club members and is a real credit to our Judo club.​Roy is Head coach of the BJJ Carrigaline academy who also holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu.
